The most popular venues for classical music are the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, the Glasgow City Hall, (home of the Scottish Symphony Orchestra) and the Old Fruitmarket. There are also frequent concerts at the SECC and neighbouring Clyde Auditorium (known in Glasgow as 'the Armadillo', the RSAMD and many more.

Glasgow plays host to some large-scale music festivals throughout the year, including Celtic Connections, Big Big Country, the Glasgow International Jazz Festival, and World Pipe Band Champtionships.
